Beautiful. Adaptable. Durable.

Zinc is a natural material that gives designers and builders incomparable flexibility to create stunning and dramatic projects that endure. Beautiful and elegant, zinc is also a material of extreme adaptability that can be easily shaped into any form while remaining quite resilient. It allows design and construction teams to create unique and dramatic projects.

Zinc is also easily recycled and reused making it one of the most sustainable construction materials available. And combining zinc with other natural materials gives each buildings a distinct and individual character.

The advantages of zinc cladding

Designing a project using facade cladding influences the appearance of a property more than any other building component. But the facade has purposes that are more than merely visual. Modern wall panel systems, such as RHEINZINK zinc cladding facades, are not only visually eye-catching, they also protect the building structure and can be easily adapted to the local and site conditions. We also provide profiles for connections to windows, doors and other components to match the corresponding system.

The durability of zinc cladding

The natural attributes of zinc make it particularly durable and long lasting. REINZINK titanium zinc is 99.995 percent pure primary zinc with a small portion of titanium and copper. This alloy is malleable, corrosion-resistant and enduring. This alloy composition gives the material strength while allowing the product to be easily shaped. The inherent metallic properties of zinc give it performance that not only lasts for decades, but needs virtually no maintenance. As a result of the natural weathering process over time, zinc forms a matte grey protective layer known as a patina. This patina protects the material against the effects of weather and corrosion giving zinc a service life of up to 200 years. No paint, varnish, or sealants are required. As a waterproof building material, runoff is minimal and non-staining and as the patina naturally forms, it does not adversely affect the environment.

And due to its nature, zinc organically repairs any scratches that may occur during installation.

Fire protection with fire-resistant zinc siding

When considering fireproof building materials in environments that are susceptible to fires, zinc also provides a noncombustible solution. Furthermore, when installed properly, zinc cladding systems will resist air and water infiltration. For regions with high winds and hurricane conditions, zinc systems have been tested to withstand high winds as required by codes and local jurisdictions.
